A day out in Brockwell Park
One of my favourite places - for a number of reasons including its a 5 minute walk away and free - to take my wee one is to Brockwell Park in Lambeth.
Brockwell Park is a large open park based between Brixton, Herne Hill and Tulse Hill in Lambeth which is suited to all the family (we even had CS first birthday here during the summer) and is easily accessible on foot from the main stations as well as plenty of bus stops around it.

Sing-a-long
Jag Flore
When all the cows were sleeping
and the sun had gone to bed,
Up jumped the scarecrow
and this is what he said,
“I’m a dingle dangle
scarecrow
with a flippy floppy hat,
I can shake my hands like this
and shake my feet like that.”
When all the hens were roosting
and the moon behind the cloud
Up jumped the scarecrow
and shouted very loud,
“I’m a dingle dangle
scarecrow
with a flippy floppy hat,
I can shake my hands like this
and shake my feet like that.”
I had a little Turtle,
His name was Tiny Tim.
To see if he could swim.
He drank up all the water
And ate a bar of soap.
And now he's in his bed,
With bubbles in his throat.
Bubble, Bubble, Bubble,
Bubble, Bubble, Bubble,
Bubble, Bubble, Bubble
Bubble, POP!
Miss Polly had a dolly who was sick, sick, sick.
So she phoned for the doctor to be quick, quick, quick.
The doctor came with his bag and his hat
And he knocked at the door with a rat-a-tat-tat.
He looked at the dolly and he shook his head
And he said “Miss Polly, put her straight to bed!”
He wrote on a paper for a pill, pill, pill
“I’ll be back in the morning with my bill, bill, bill.
Peter Rabbit had a fly upon his nose,
Peter Rabbit had a fly upon his nose,
And he flipped it and he flopped it and it flew away.
Floppy Ears and Curly Whiskers,
Floppy Ears and Curly Whiskers,
Floppy Ears and Curly Whiskers,
And he flipped it and he flopped it and it flew away.
Peter Rabbit had a fly upon his toes,
Peter Rabbit had a fly upon his toes,
Peter Rabbit had a fly upon his toes,
And he flipped it and he flopped it and it flew away.
Floppy Ears and Curly Whiskers,
Floppy Ears and Curly Whiskers,
Floppy Ears and Curly Whiskers,
And he flipped it and he flopped it and it flew away.
